IDC Closing & Final Prep

PADI Instructor Examination
2 DaysConducted independently by PADI Asia Pacific examiners, the IE is your final step to becoming a certified PADI Instructor. Upon passing, you earn your PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) certification.

IDC Entry Requirements
To enroll in the PADI Instructor Development Course at Tioman Dive Buddy, you must meet the following prerequisites before your IDC start date.
Certified PADI Divemaster (or equivalent certification from SSI, NAUI, or another recognised agency)
Minimum 100 logged dives recorded in your dive logbook
Current CPR & First Aid certification completed within the past 24 months
Medical clearance to dive — signed by a licensed physician within the past 12 months
Minimum age: 18 years old at the time of enrollment

After the IDC, the 2-day Instructor Examination takes place. From start to finish, you should plan to be on Tioman Island for approximately 17 days including the IE.
