1. The "Soft Gear" (Buy This)
For comfort and hygiene, owning these three items is the standard for any diver visiting Tioman.
Mask

A leaking mask ruins a dive instantly. Rental masks often don't seal perfectly on every face shape.
- Hygiene: No shared bacteria.
- Fit: Watertight seal.
- Vision: Spot more turtles!
Snorkel
~RM 80
It goes in your mouth. Owning your own ensures the mouthpiece is clean and not chewed up.
- Sanitary: 100% your germs only.
- Comfort: Soft silicone mouthpiece.
- Safety: Essential for surface swims.
Fins & Boots
~RM 400
Rental full-foot fins can cause blisters. We recommend Open-Heel fins with Neoprene Boots.
- Power: Better propulsion.
- Protection: Boots protect feet on jetties.
- Fit: No blisters.
2. The "Hard Gear" (Rent This)
Life-support equipment is heavy and expensive to service. Renting is the smartest choice for holiday divers.

💡 The Tioman Travel Rule
Luggage space on the Mersing ferry is premium. Don't haul a wet BCD and heavy regulator back home. Bring your mask, rent the heavy stuff.
